Good FAith Estimate
What is it?
A detailed paper with expected out of pocket costs for each PT service that is offered.
Who is it for?
Patients that are uninsured or who choose to pay for medical services out of pocket (not going through their insurance at all) have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate. Currently, this does not apply to covered services under Medicare, Medicaid, or other Federal Healthcare plans.
Why?
This law was made to protect clients/patients from receiving surprise medical bills and avoiding unexpected medical costs.
